5 Years Ago Today
Today is our 5 year anniversary. It is hard to believe that it has been 5 years already. Time goes so fast. Five years ago today we got married in our back yard. It was a small ceremony with only our close family. I'm really glad we did it that way. Not because it was a lot less expensive, but because it was so much more personal. The two families got to talk and get to know each other a little more than they would in a more traditional event.
Even when I had only known Jen for a few weeks, it seemed like I had known her for years. We had so much in common then and we still do today. We think so much alike that we often have the same thought at the same time. Our tastes in almost everything are identical. A perfect match. I don't know what I would do without her.
To celebrate we are going out to eat to Carrabba's this afternoon. That might not sound like much, but we go out so infrequently that it is much more of an occasion for us. It makes us happy, and that is really all that matters.
