Family Day Results

Family day went really well. Jen’s Mom and Dad got to the house around ten o’clock and we left for the space center right away. We did the launch pad tour first to try and beat the traffic. It took about a half an hour to get up to the pad, so it wasn’t bad. However, once we got there the pad operations building was closed to everyone. The VAB, OPF, and the Launch Control Center were really interesting. I haven’t been in some of the places on the tour, so I had just as much fun.

It was really disappointing that we weren’t allowed to go into the building that I work in. Apparently security closed it off almost as soon as it opened. The rumor is that someone took their kids over to the crawler way and let them play in the rocks and maybe on the crawler itself. This may or may not be true. I won’t mention any names, but if it is true, there is only one person that works on the pad that has that kind of lack of judgment and is also a complete idiot. A complete idiot. That is just speculation of course. What it really amounts to is that I cleaned my desk off for nothing. Oh well, it probably needed it. Here are some of the pictures Jen took while we were out there.
