We are getting yet another animal in our house. Jen's aunt used to have two birds, an African Gray and Cockatoo. Apparently when they were transferring the Gray to an outdoor cage it got away. I'm not sure how old it was but the Cockatoo had been with it all three and a half years of it's life. Now I guess Harley the Cockatoo is a little depressed without it. Since we already have Charley Jen's aunt thought that we might want to take Harley so she could have a bird friend again. We didn't say yes right away, we wanted to be sure that she would be good with dogs, did she bite, does she attach herself to only one person? The answer is that she is a very well behaved bird that likes to be held and played with. She also likes all of the same foods that Charley does. Her aunt is bringing Harley up next weekend. She comes with a large cage, perches, toys and I'm sure a lot of other stuff. That's good because it is expensive to get set up to care for a large parrot. Hopefully Charley will accept her quickly. He is going to have to deal with it because she is not going anywhere.
