I found this online just now. The frames per second of the video camera just happened to sync up with the revolutions per second of the rotor blades. Very cool!
I work at Kennedy Space Center as a space shuttle launch pad technician. I am currently shop lead and really enjoy my job. I have been married to my wife, Jen, who I love very much since november 2001. We have a whole herd of dogs, two parrots: an Eclectus and a Cockatoo, and two small Hermans tortoises. Previously I served in the U.S. Army for 6 years as an Apache helicopter crew chief. I got out in 1999 and went to work for Cessna Aircraft company in Wichita, Kansas. I was hired by United Space Alliance and moved to Florida in the summer of 2000.
Right now your face is probably all scrunched up looking at my blog title saying "Huh? One dead monkey? What is wrong with this guy?" Well, here is the background. It comes from something that I heard at work a few years ago. One of the guys wanted to take vacation or had an appointment or something like that and would have to miss part of a day at work. We had a shuttle on the pad at the time and we were kind of busy. This guy was worried that whatever was going on that day wouldn't happen if he wasn't there. In response, the manager told him that "One dead monkey wouldn't stop the circus." Meaning that he wasn't that important and what ever was going on would happen wether he was there or not. I always liked that quote. It is usually true too, one person is rarely that important.
